Let's play!

An escape room, also known as an escape game, is a game in which a team of players cooperatively discovers clues, solves puzzles, and accomplishes tasks in one or more rooms in order to progress and accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time. The goal is often to escape from the site of the game.

While playing, many abilities are at stake: team work, time management, problem solving, critical thinking and focus under pressure. Moreover, the game also provides a unique opportunity of using the language, reinforcing and acquiring vocabulary and structures in a playful atmosphere, bringing an element of interest and novelty to the traditional class.

In this Escape Room we will lead you to find out more about the history of this amazing school which we love and are part of smiley

So READY, STEADY…GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yes

Hi!  I'm Yami and we will be working via campus these days!

We are still testing you to see your levels, so you don't have to buy any books yet!!

Each day I'll be uploading exersices to this column     (under Homework)

and you will have a to complete them in that column

(under student's corner) . Please hand in your work on time.

You can check the article named Class Log  to see what we do each class.

If you have any questions you can communicate with me via the Message Board. I'll be answering any doubts there!

(me pueden escribir en español si no entienden algo)

Class 1

"COLLAGE OF YOUR DREAMS"

STEP 1

For this activity you will have to download an app called “PICSART” or any app you know you can use to make a collage.

The idea is that you créate a collage of your future dreams (as this is your last year at ORT). Your dreams can be related to activities you want to do, academic or personal achievements, places you want to travel to, things you want to buy, lifestyles you would love to have, your idea of a future relationship with someone or how you picture yourself in the following years.

I want you to make you reflect on “THE IMPORTANCE OF DREAMING” and on the fact that in order to achieve things or whatever you want in life, you have to be commited to what you want, have determination and willingness to do so and “BE SURE THAT WHAT YOU WANT IS CONNECTED WITH YOUR REAL PASSION IN LIFE”.

“IF YOU CAN PICTURE IT, YOU CAN CREATE IT” heart

Read the following text and answer the multiple choice (page 8 and 9 from Student's book)

The link to the movie is in the worksheet! :)

AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO WE DISCUSSED TODAY IN CLASS, I WANT YOU TO CHOOSE ANY OF THESE TWO QUESTIONS AND WRITE A COMMENT ON THIS TOPIC IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW:

VIDEO: https://ed.ted.com/lessons/what-is-love-brad-troeger#watch

QUESTIONS:

Have you ever hated a person to whom someday you loved her/him? Do you consider that this feeling is like a kind of revenge?

Is there such thing as a “universal” definition of love that is consistent across generation, culture, and personal beliefs? If so, what is it?

AFTER YOU UPLOADED YOUR COMMENT, GO OUTSIDE INTO THE NATURE, HAVE A WALK AND REFLECT FOR SOME MINUTES ON WHAT REALLY LOVE IS FOR YOU....(I MEAN IT, GO OUTSIDE INTO THE SUN AND REFLECT ON THIS )....THEN GO TO https://www.menti.com/c11rxnkexx  AND WRITE ONLY ONE WORD THAT SUMMARIZES WHAT LOVE IS FOR YOU. NEXTCLASS I WILL SHOW YOU THE WORD CLOUD :)

LOVE YOU!

YAM heart
