The key: The key represents the moment when Mrs. Foster decided to make a stop to the pain he was making to her so she locked the house. To be free and to stop feel pain. In my opinion, the key represents Mrs. Foster's freedom.
The time: Mr Foster enjoys bodering his wife and making her to get nervous about being late. He does his best to make her miss the flight and getting late to the airport. Mr Foster didn't bother being late; but his wife did bother her.
Punishment: Represents the consequence Mr. Foster suffered for disturbing and hurting his wife for a lons period of time
Letters: Represents the last thing of this toxic relationship. But also, there are proof that she still loved her husband and she was weak

How interesting! Good insights! The letters she sent to her husband are also vital!!This woman was tired of him for sure. She had a twitch... maybe that was a sign of weakness...a sign of her discomfort with the inability to accept lack of time, of love maybe? Who knows!

The key: In my opinion, the key of her door is symbolized as the key of her life also. Because she never had their own control of its own life, but at one point of her life she decided to lock her husband and there, she had her own freedom. The time: The time always made her anxious, she always hurried to be on time at every event of her life. In my opinion, her thoughts about time changed, becuase she decided to go to another country without her husbund for a long time, so there she could relax. Punishment: Mrs Foster, was being punished in some way by Mr Foster almost all their marriage. She putted up her husband until she started to realize the punishment towards her. Letters: When Mrs Foster arrives to her house, she see that Mr Foster didn't open her letters, simbolizing he never cared about her wife, he was still married because something else.
