Writing 1: Informal E-Mail
Thanks a lot for worring for me! I am doing very well out here. I am not used to living in a house as big as this one, but i am getting used to.
Do you remember my father's exhaustic job? Well, he did get a new one and he gets paid a lot more than before. Also he does not work on Saturdays and Sundays.
My daily routine here is to wake up at 6 o'clock, brush my teeth, change my clothes, have breakfast and finally get ready to go to school. Then, I leave school at 12.30 and once I am back, i sit on my PC and play games for the rest of the day.
Thanks for the invitation, but i think i should not accept it, i think i could easily get bored. I do not like animals, farming and getting milk from cows.
Sorry for that, I am going to have dinner.
Writing 2: Letter of Application
Dear Mr. Groves
I have seen your adevertisement in my local english newspaper, and I am interested in applying for the volunteer post.
I am at oxford university studying orchestra and I know how to play pop music. I am now working as a DJ in a dance club so I know how to play also electro music and remixing them. I spent 3 years working as DJ, so i have experience.
I have always worked on my own, but 1 year ago when i went to the last music festival and taught in groups of 5 - 10 people how to do a simple melody on a guitar. I have a great talent which is teaching simple and easy.
I feel this is a suitable job for me because the last year, i worked in this and taught 597 people to play the guitar. Also, i am a very good assistant, so i could help the other teachers to do it and i can also help to organize if you require it.
Yours sincerely, Luca.
